Jim Spear at Coldwell Banker was fantastic throughout the entire process of selling our home. From the initial walk-through, to listing, to the final sale, Jim was knowledgeable, responsive, and always available to answer questions or talk through the next step. We initially hired a realtor from a small local firm. Two weeks after putting the house on the market he was advising us to lower the price. He had a sign in the yard and a couple of pictures on the MLS. We knew we had to go another way. After paying the first realtor several hundred dollars to go away (and for doing nothing), we hired James Spear on the recommendation of a friend. From the very first moment, Jim was a welcome change. Within a few days he had a professional photographer in to take a complete set of house pictures and create a virtual tour. Jim was upbeat and enthusiastic at all times, keeping us up to date with showings, offers, etc. Selling the house ended up being a far longer process (three contracts fell through) than we imagined, but through it all, Jim kept plugging away. In the end the house sold for far more than we ever imagined, far beyond what we would have gotten if we had stayed with the first agent, and that is thanks to Jim Spear. To say he went above and beyond is almost an understatement. We are very grateful to have worked with him.

Jim was extremely helpful and very professional in selling my father’s home. He was honest and straightforward about the value of the property and recommendations for improvements prior to putting it on the market. Advised well on fairly pricing our home. Priced the home based on our interests and needs rather than for a "quick sale" as we felt other potential agents were trying to do. Open and honest communication throughout the process. Very quick to respond no matter what day or time. Dealt well with conflicts and other agents. I worked with Jim for 8 months to find my perfect home, 6 of which were through the global pandemic which added another layer to the process. He was consistent, always ready when needed, employed multiple strategies to sell our house, and was well knowledgeable about what it took to sell our house. I.e. what to get rid of in the house, what to fix, what to leave He also had resources to ensure a smooth sale, for example he knew of people to complete a pre- inspection. We were able to see if our house needed anything without the surprise when the buyer had the inspection. He was thorough with his communication and we always knew what to expect and what was happening. Any time someone mentions looking for a house or selling their house, I immediately share Jim’s name.
